Odesk Tips – Increase Your Income

Would you like to earn more money?

Well I do. If your income still is not as high as you want it to be, you’ve got to take a good look at your presentation on the marketplace. Think for a moment on how you’re running your business.

I was doing some thinking a while ago and came up with some tips I would like to share with all my readers.
Let’s dive in.

Get more tasks

Yes, this is the most obvious way to increase your income – get more assignments, more clients and it will bring you more checks at the end of the month. The challenge here is to wisely plan your time between assignments so you will not be working 24 hours per day to meet all those deadlines. And your customers should be satisfied regardless of how many tasks you are working on.

Before agree on the next project you have to ask yourself and be honest: can I handle it? Do I have enough time? Will I be able to deliver it before deadline come? If your answer is “yes” than go for it and get some extra dollars on your bill.

But if you are not sure than do not agree on the job, keep this client in mind, write an email stating that “you would love to build strong business relationships in the future and he/she can return to you  later”

Increase you hourly rate

Do you value your skills enough? Well you need to analyze this important question. What you can do is:

• search for providers with similar skills, see their portfolio, feedback, compare hourly rate.
• think of how long have you been working with the present houly rate? Maybe you have improved your experience enough to add some extra $ to your rate amount?
• you can always try to calculate your rate

If you find out that you have all the oppotunities to increase your hourly rate than go ahead and do that!

Build your Provider Company

This is advanced option for those providers who is ready to enchance the work boundaries.  The provider company allows you to hire providers and assign the tasks to them. The earnings will go to Odesk team account and you will be responsible for paying your providers. Provider company opens a lot of oppotunities to the providers who can work independently or as a team.
